Jim Turner (placekicker) Wife: Meet Mary Kay Turner

Mary Kay Turner was the wife of Jim Turner a placekicker in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL) for the New York Jets and Denver Broncos, respectively.

The couple were married for over 58 years and they had three daughters Lisa, Chris and Alison Turner.

Jim Turner died at the age of 82 from heart failure with his family by his side on June 10, 2023, according to 9News in Denver. Mary Kay Turner spoke glowingly of her late husband.

“His legacy speaks for itself,” she told the Denver Gazette. “To me and our family, he was just our husband and our father and our grandfather and we will miss him terribly.”

Jim Turner played seven seasons for the Jets, making the Pro Bowl in 1968 and 1969, before joining the Broncos from 1971 to 1979.

He was inducted into the AFL All-Time Second Team as well as the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame.

In 1988, Turner was inducted into the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame and in 2013, he was inducted into the Utah State University Athletics Hall of Fame.
